There is a reason for this that pertains to the holiday, but sometimes females want the other side of their face to also show their nice makeup.Īs stated in National Geographic, “Dia de los Muertos celebrates death as a part of the human experience: Every living thing will eventually die. Sometimes people don’t paint their whole faces like a sugar skull, but just half of their face. The sugar skull has been growing in popularity over the years and you can find some Day of the Dead t-shirts with different designs of the skull at Olvera St. “You want people to understand the meaning of Day of the Dead and what they’re celebrating, that it’s not just a big party, that it does have spiritual and historical significance,” said Cervantez. It is not a day of sadness, but of happiness to remember the ones they loved and cherished. This day honors dead relatives by making altars decorated with their passed relative’s favorite food, things and sugar skulls, also known as ofrendas. Cruciferous vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, and brussel sprouts are great for your health, but they can cause tummy troubles like gas and bloating for those with sensitive stomachs. Isn’t it annoying when healthy foods land on a “don’t” list like this? We get it, but hear us out. You probably don’t have to worry about those. More serious tomato troubles are associated with eating way too many tomatoes. Second, tomatoes can cause urinary and bowel disorders, which don’t really lend themselves to great sleep. First, they’re highly acidic, which can cause heartburn. Eating tomatoes before bed can be a bad move for two reasons. If you love tomato-based foods like spaghetti, chili, bruschetta, and salsa, you may want to think twice before downing them late at night. And stay away from ice cream, tea, soda, energy drinks, and bars that contain coffee beans, green tea, and black tea after nightfall. Play it safe and read the labels more closely. Many foods contain trace amounts of caffeine that could interfere with your ability to fall asleep at night. However, it’s possible that other sustenance is giving you that same buzz without your knowledge or consent. Unless you’re burning the midnight oil studying for a test or building your business empire, you probably don’t make a habit of drinking coffee before bed. So while you may love to feel the burn while you’re eating, you’ll want to avoid it if you ever have difficulty falling asleep at night. But did you know that spicy food can even raise your body temperature ? Since your body naturally starts cooling down at night, spicy food is a definite no-no if you want some good shut-eye. Most of us know that hot sauce, jalapenos, and other spicy foods can lead to heartburn. If you simply can’t stay away, make sure you grill or saute your onions before eating them, which lowers the acid content. Onions are known to cause gas, reflux, and bloating -all of which can mess with your sleep. Yes, your partner will thank you as you go in for a bedtime kiss-and your body will, too. OnionsĮver suffer from heartburn or reflux? Then you better skip the raw onions at your next late-night summer BBQ. Say goodbye to garlic fries (that’s both garlic and fried food!) as your favorite fix at the bar! 5. A natural gastrointestinal stimulant, garlic increases your body’s production of saliva and gastric juices, which could take away from your ability to easily drift off to dreamland. We love garlic as much as the next bedding company, but this cooking staple could be causing you to toss and turn at night more than you realize. Not ideal when your head hits the pillow-but probably worth it every once in a while. ![]() Fried foods are high in fat, which means they take longer to digest, and might even cause bloating and indigestion. So maybe you indulge at the annual state fair, but know that funnel cake and fried Oreos may cause sleep troubles. We’re sorry to say it, but fried food really doesn’t have much going for it (besides the delicious taste). And we’re certain nobody wants to deal with that as they’re counting sheep. These fruits are high in acid, and eating them close to the time when you’ll be laying down in bed could worsen acid reflux. Citrus FruitĬitrus fruits tout tons of health benefits-Vitamins! Fiber! Yeah, probably. If the starters all played in Week 17, it’s most likely an 11-5 finish. In Allen’s second season, his team finished with a 10-6 record and a Wild Card berth. If you don’t do this for your guy, you become the Jets and ruin a fantastic QB prospect like Darnold. Say what you want about how all of these guys have performed to date, but this is an example of a GM giving his young QB a chance at improvement and success. GM Brandon Beane brought in guys like Mitch Morse, John Brown, Cole Beasley, Tyler Kroft, Dawson Knox, Devin Singletary, Jon Feliciano, and Cody Ford. It was very important to remember (and still is) that Allen did not play as much football at the college level in comparison to his 2018 draft classmates and was a huge work in progress. Josh ended the game with five total TDs and left Bills fans very hopeful heading into the offseason. The season finale at home vs Miami was great as well. This game came down to the drop by Charles Clay in the endzone, but Josh was the entire offense in this game. He played his butt off in Miami despite the loss. ![]() Both games against Miami are easy to remember as well. He struggled mightily, but he was on the sideline firing up the defense and showing his leadership skills. Games that stand out to me off the top of my head include his first start against the Chargers. He showed leadership, toughness, and heart. But, Josh Allen showed things in his rookie season that don’t show up on the stat line. Yeah, that’s an UGLY stat line and graph. Below is a graph from NFL’s next gen stats: Stat line: 12 games, 52.8% completion percentage, 2,074 yards, 10 TDs/12 INTs, 631 rushing yards, and 8 rush TDs. Let’s look at Allen’s stats from his rookie season. The offensive line was abysmal with guys like Jordan Mills starting. You are not putting up numbers throwing to Kelvin Benjamin and Zay Jones as your top 2 WR’s. The media couldn’t wait to watch him struggle and fail, just so they could point their fingers and say, “I told you so!” I don’t care who you are. Allen was thrown into the fire as a raw project QB with a horrible supporting cast. I don’t need to tell you how 2018 unfolded. During this, Cowherd started talking about many of the young QB’s in the NFL and started talking about Josh Allen and how he “continues to struggle”. Tua is their future, no matter how he looks the remainder of this season.
